Getting Glossier as a Canadian is a difficult task, as I’m sure many of you are well aware. Although they have announced that they hope to be shipping worldwide very soon, to get it now, you usually need someone vacationing in the states to act as your makeup mule (I love you Pat).

When ordering you have to ask yourself - do I buy what I need? Or do I spend every last penny (or nickel? Did this phrase change when we lost the penny?) of my paycheque in hopes of getting as close to owning the entire Glossier lineup as possible? I usually choose the latter…

So let me tell you about everything I ordered, and how I feel about it!

Moisturizing Moon Mask - Soothing Face Treatment

I’ll be honest, I’ve never used a hydrating facemask. Not that I haven’t needed it, but I’ve really just never thought of it. So although I have nothing to compare this to, I still think it’s super great. Smells nice, feels nice, doesn’t harden so you’re still able to talk and smile and enjoy life while you’re wearing it, and it leaves your skin super soft. I’ve heard of people leaving it on too while they sleep and I'm intrigued. I’ll let you know how that goes once I try it. All in all, I am very pro this mask.

Priming Moisturizer - Rich

What a great thing - a product that literally makes your skin feel like the softest thing you’ve ever touched. The moisturizer is very hydrating, and a little definitely goes a long way. The scent is fresh and pleasant, and although I’ve spent a lot of time sniffing the jar, I still can’t figure out what it is… Definitely great as a night cream, or when your skin needs a little boost of life. No bad things to say about this product!

Priming Moisturizer - Buildable Hydrating Creme

A great but simple face cream. Lightweight, so for me, works best in warmer weather when my skin isn’t dry and gross. Leaves your skin dewy, and pairs perfectly with the Perfecting Skin Tint!

Coconut Balm Dotcom - Universal Skin Salve

This product is the shit. Honestly, that’s the best way to describe it. As someone that needs to be taking more Vitamin B12 and doesn’t, these usually chapped lips can always depend on Balm Dotcom for hydration. 10/10 would recommend to a friend/family member/co-worker.

Perfecting Skin Tint

A dream come true. Low coverage, evens out your skin tone, feels super lightweight, and looks like real skin. A product I had been searching for even before Glossier existed, so I’m thrilled to have finally found it.

Haloscope - Dew Effect Highlighter

I’m having trouble finding the words for this one… it’s literal perfection. I was a little apprehensive about buying Haloscope because I have almost a full tube of the Milk Makeup Highlighter which I really enjoy. However, I am so glad I did because this product is the key step to having the glossiest skin you’ve ever dreamed of. Apply it to your cheekbones, brow bone, cupid's bow, bridge of your nose, and anywhere else your heart desires because the more you use, the more angelic you will look. The ONLY thing I was disappointed about (a fault of mother nature, and not the product) is I can’t be like those cool girls who wear it on their eyelids because I have hooded lids and its creases. But so is life!

Boy Brow - Grooming Pomade

This product gives me the brows I’ve been dreaming about my entire life. I brush my brows straight up and then they stay that way. All day. No matter what. I’ve only used my new tube of it a few times and I’m already afraid of the brows I’ll have to deal with when I run out. Nightmares.

Stretch Concealer

I read this article where French women talked about the different reasons why they don’t like to wear concealer under their eyes. They said it makes them look more original and moody. I really loved the idea of that. But let’s be real, not everyone can get away with that. Then, in steps Stretch Concealer. For me, it’s the perfect amount of coverage - but let me be clear, it doesn’t cover my dark circles fully. It tones them down just enough so people aren’t asking me if I’m hungover all day, but allows just enough colour to come through so I still look real. It’s creamy and buildable, but if you’re looking for a “hide all” type concealer, keep on looking!

Generation G - Sheer Matte Lipstick

Ever want to put some colour on your lips but really not in the mood to commit to a full on lip look? Ya me too. Generation G is great for those days. Swipe on once for a light colour, or a few more times for a more saturated look. And if you’re feeling extra sassy, apply some Balm Dotcom on top for a glossier look!
