When it comes to dressing while living in a place with 4 seasons, I am nothing but impatient. By the time March rolls around (now) I've spent a lot of time sitting on my phone watching the beautiful people of LA (via Instagram) walk around on glorious sunny days in jeans and tanks and sandals. Naturally, I start to imagine what my spring wardrobe will look like, and how I'll be the one walking around in the sunshine. It's almost as if I get stuck in this day dream and moving forward only have eyes for shorter hemlines and less sleeve. So prematurely, I start shopping for these things and prematurely I start wearing them (because who can really leave something brand new sitting in their closet). And then I step outside and realize my haste because in Toronto, we still see snow in March.
You’d think after nearly 24 years of living in the same city I would figure it out by now, and maybe learn to be a little more patient, but I haven't. So until spring actually arrives, I'll leave you with the fine image of me running back to my winter parka after each of the above photos were taken.
